is the name of the latest song posted to my MixcraftLive account.
I played drums, guitar and bass on this one, and a Friend of mine who happens to be the vocalist in the band I play out with, did the lyrics and vocals. The song was done as a mixcraft tutorial video which isn't done yet.

1000 Voices Video Released 05-29-2009

After months of shooting, editing, tweaking, watching it over and over, it is finally here!
This video is for the song "1000 Voices" from the CD "Meet My Demons" which was released on Retrospect Records in December of 2008. The CD is a concept which explains the mind of an anxiety ridden man. This video sums the entire thing up very well.

I would like to thank everyone involved:

Rick Mendoza - Camera man "A", "B" and "C", video editing and general devotion to the completion of this project.
Mike Case - Camera man "D", still photographer, video editing, direction, props and everything he did for the project.
Elizabeth Luchenbill - Came up with the video storyline and directed the whole thing. Elizabeth drove to us from Georgia twice during this, now that is devotion!

Actors:

Mike Case - Guitar
Bill Bradley - Drums
Matt Hunt - Bass
Eric VanLandingham - Vocals, guitar, bass, drums

Drums on the recording were done with Beatcraft!

A couple Cover Tunes

I posted a cover tune by "Judas Priest" a couple weeks ago or so, and now I'm about to post another one. Today I had some plans that fell through so I decided to come down to the studio and continue my research on why I can't seem to get a good drum sound when recording live bands.
After lots of trial and error and talking to other studio engineers, I have come to the conslusion that I need some better mics designed specifically for drums in a studio environment. That is not a cheap solution so I will have to continue using the Shure SM57's and 58's for now. Many of you might know I used to be the "James" figure in a Metallica tribute called "Damage Inc" in the 90's. We toured all over the United States and had one hell of a great time. One of the tunes that used to kick peoples asses right from the start was "The Four Horsemen" (we used to call it "the four whores man"). I did this in about 6 hours, all drums, vox, guitars and bass, mixing, etc etc. So without further rambling, here are links to the songs.

This song is a pre to the end of the "Meet My Demons" story, it leads you into the final battle which is actually titled "Welcome To Your Funeral. This is the final of three songs that are used as promo for the 12 song CD, no others will be distributed freely as these have been.
This song was originally all acoustic guitars, with my first serious use of MIDI added later and is now the final version which will be on the cd and distributed by Retrospect records.
