Queen of Spades - with Indian flavor

by EL34, posted 12/16/09 13:55:59

Hi all
I am a beta tester for Mixcraft 5 and so I have been testing M5 by doing a few tunes.
Here's one I just finished. If you like my Hand of Shiva tune, you may like this one also.
This tune was written by Dan Morrissey. It is more of a soundscape/soundtrack type tune. I have put my own spin on the tune by adding lots of Indian instrument sounds. It is a slow 81 BPM hypnotic beat that has a sub bass groove. Crank up the sub woofer on this one. Enjoy

Here's my Mixcraft live page if you would like to play this tune.

Some new songs

by EL34, posted 07/02/09 23:52:50

I have been so busy the last few months I forgot to record music. :)

I uploaded 4 new tunes that are very different from each other.

The Factory is a soundscape of a factory with a bunch of sad little machines grinding away their day while the slave boss sits in the office and drinks vodka.

Ok, maybe that's not what it is about.

New Colab between two Mixcraft live artist

Hi all,
Jim Hickey is a Bass and Guitar teacher and he also creates cool Jam tracks for people to play along with.
See Jim's Artist page here on Mixcraft live for some of his Jam tracks.

I used one of Jim's Jam tracks called "Groovin in Am"
I wrote a Guitar instrumental tune using his track as the backing track.

The tune is called Groovin. Check it out on my artist page. Thanks.

I don't blog much, well I don't ever blog.

I have uploaded a bunch of tunes here.

Thanks to the gang at Acoustica for the great software.

Mixcraft rules.

Hope that someone out there enjoys some of my stuff.

For those that are interested, here's my sound setup

I use several guitars to record with. See the link down below for pics and info of my gear.

All guitars get plugged into a custom stereo tube pre amp.

The guitar signal comes out of the tube pre amp and gets plugged right into my sound card as a stereo line in signal.

The signal then goes to Guitar Rig which processes the signals with effects and many other different tones.

From Guitar rig the signal goes right into Mixcraft.

I also use Beatcraft to do drum tracks.

I do all recording and mixing with Mixcraft 4.

Here's a link with pics of my gear.
